Providing Everything You Need

A well designed house extension will not only provide you with extra living space, without the need to move home, it will also add value to your property. Extensions can either be single or two/multi storey depending on whether you desire a larger kitchen/lounge downstairs or an additional bedroom/bathroom upstairs.

We have a unique talent for creating beautiful spaces that are customized to suit every individual’s lifestyle, budget and taste. From concept to completion, we work closely with you to determine the best possible way of utilising your available floor area considering carefully your requirements for access, services and practicality in order to arrive at an optimum design, whilst ensuring that any disruption is kept to a minimum. Alternatively we can work with existing designs that you have already prepared.

Designing your own home gives you total flexibility to choose the size, shape and layout of the house you desire; it also enables you to tailor each room to your specific needs from the floorplan to the fixtures and fittings. New homes also come with a ten year warranty giving you a guarantee on the quality of the building.

Whilst most people dream of designing their own home in an ideal location, the size of the challenge to undertake this is too daunting for many.  At Cubic One Construction Ltd we have the experience and knowledge to help you source the land, execute the complete build, and make your dream a reality.

The vast majority of new-build homes are being built with a timber frame, as well as being cost-effective, they can also be clad in almost any building material so there are lots of options for the finished look.

Self-builders come from almost every walk of life from young families looking to find an affordable home that can adapt to a growing family, through to empty nesters keen to downsize.

A carefully planned loft conversion can be an ideal way of giving you an extra bedroom, a new office or other addition to your living accommodation, at a cost which is well below that of a full-blown extension. Many properties have an underutilised loft which is suitable for conversion, and for an increasing number of people, this is becoming a popular alternative for getting extra space without moving house.

Planning permission is not normally required for the majority of loft conversions as the works can be carried out under permitted development, subject to a few conditions, but building control approval will still be required.

Renovating or refurbishing a property has always been a popular way of getting a new home or business premises without the cost and inconvenience of moving house or relocating.  Whether it’s a home, office or commercial premise, many older properties are in need of complete or partial renovation as they have a design that is unsuitable for modern day living and work life.

So if you are looking to convert the existing layout of your home into one large light, airy and open-plan living space or want to restore and retain certain period features, we can help to bring your property back to life. Likewise, if your business has undergone a transformation that makes your current premises impractical. We can use our experience to create a feasible solution that will once again make the space fit for purpose.

An unused garage is an opportunity to create additional living space providing a larger lounge, dining room, children’s playroom, office or home gym. Properties with an integral garage are ideal for conversion as they are already part of the house and in most cases will fall under permitted development as you are not altering the actual structure of the building.  However, a stand-alone or side attached garage may require planning permission for a change of use. They are a cost effective way of achieving more space and an improved layout without the larger costs involved in an extension.

Many properties have available garden space which is suitable for building a room that can be used as a home office, studio or children’s den. This is becoming a popular way for getting extra living space at a cost which is well below that of an equivalent extension and with significantly less disruption.

A purpose designed garden room will be a valuable addition to your home, providing a self-contained space that can be used without intruding on day-to-day life. To create your new space we can construct a dedicated building fit for purpose or re-develop an existing outbuilding.

Adapting a farm barn into a house or commercial premises is a perfect way to attain a property that is both full of character and purposely designed for modern living. You will normally need planning permission to convert them into a habitable building of any kind but depending on the condition of the property to start with, it may be considered permitted development.

New barns can be erected but generally they have to be non-residential for ten years prior to the conversion.  They are however permitted for agricultural use or storage.

Your roof is the most important part of your property.

It protects your home/business and your belongings from inclement weather.

Whilst we specialise in ‘hand cut roof’ construction (which is the traditional method of cutting the timber on-site and building up the roof using rafters, ridge boards, joists and purlins etc), we also provide the following roofing services.

New Build Roofs, Replacement Roofs, Flat Roofs, Pitched Roofs (hand cut/truss) and Fibreglass Flat Roofing.
