Timber Framed Extension - Essex
Our client acquired this beautiful thatched cottage but needed more living space and wanted to extend whilst retaining the same charm and character of the original property.
We constructed a timber framed extension to the rear of the property and added a stunning glass atrium and oak a-frames. This was then finished with external wood cladding to complement the original cottage. Internally a new cottage style kitchen was installed, to blend together the old and new styles, a dining room and orangery area.
A double storey detached timber framed cart lodge was also created to provide a garage/storage area with an office above.
The end result was a very impressive country cottage still full of charm but more practical for modern day living.
